Access to the internet is enabled utilising a Swift Networks supplied wireless keyboard via the Set Top Box (STB); and utilises the room TV as the display. Coupled with the use of a High Definition STB and LCD screen a clear and uncomplicated Internet experience is available.

Alternatively, users can access the Internet via their own laptops and PC's. Gaming consoles can also be ported directly with TV screens for added enjoyment.

Swift Networks can coordinate VSAT or terrestrial data services or, if the external internet "pipe" is provided; Swift Networks can provide a gateway/ firewall server at the core infrastructure equipment rack to control the distribution of internet through the DES.

Swift Networks’ DES provides:

• Traffic shaping according to bandwidth availability with a Committed Information Rate (CIR) as negotiated with the customer.
• Proxy Server providing cache, DNS, transparent redirection, content filtering and traffic shaping
• Inter-room isolation security features
• Internet termination via firewalling gateway router
• VPN support for MS Terminal Services, Citrix, HTTPS, IPSEC and MS PPTP VPN
• Support for non-proxied applications
