ASTIB supplies radio systems that meet safety specifications for ‘intrinsically safe’ equipment in chemical and petrochemical plants. Our repair centre is certified for the repair of Factory Mutual (FM) radios.

Enhanced safety for your workers

For remote plant areas, selected Motorola handheld radios incorporate a Lone Worker function that requires the worker to acknowledge a signal generated on a predefined interval. If the signal is not acknowledged by the worker, an emergency signal is automatically generated. This function can be augmented by a central PC based solution which enhances monitoring functions, and directs no-reply messages to the appropriate supervisor.

Economical and secure connections to remote systems

Remote communications to outlying areas can be expensive. Telemetry and Wireless IP data solutions are designed to work with SCADA, PLC and RTU systems to provide remote monitoring and control of equipment such as:

Temporary supply

Ideal for construction projects, ASTIB can lease radios and repeaters for the duration of your project. As part of a rental plan, we manage the allocation of channels on a site, giving each group or contractor its own channel while maintaining intergroup and channel-wide emergency communication calls. For large construction sites, we will provide temporary repeater systems that can be installed in construction camps or even complete trailer mounted, solar powered stations.

Conventional wide area network solutions between offices can be expensive to install and operate. ASTIB can design, install and support license and operating cost free wireless IP links between your offices over distances from 200m to 20km, providing free bandwidth between 3Mbps and 300Mbps. The same links support VoIP or E1 connections so you can join and integrate your PBX telephone systems.
