Our system designers use radio frequency models, terrain models, and signal propagation modelling software to accurately estimate where radios will work within a defined geographic area. The models help designers choose equipment, equipment locations and antennas, and to estimate how well signals will penetrate buildings. Our designs are backed-up by drive testing and actual field signal level measurements. Designers adjust antenna patterns, add or move equipment sites, and design antenna networks to achieve the required level of performance.

Installation Planning
Planning for radio and wireless network deployment requires a thorough understanding of RF issues such as path loss prediction, coverage mapping, multi-path issues, noise levels, and frequency management. For planned installations, Astib can conduct a pre-installation survey to:
